We must quit wasting time worrying about whether somewhere, somehow, a gay or lesbian person might be falling in love, getting married, having children, or getting ordained. Talk about a weapon of mass distraction.
We need to get serious about combating the sin of racism, in our homes, in our churches, in our schools, at our work, in ourselves. We need to gest serious about the sin of sexism, in our homes, in our churches, in our schools, at our work, in ourselves.
All oppressions are linked -- rascim, sexism, heterosexism. Until we understand that, we will make little or no progress in living into our Baptismal vows.

When the interviewer asked the child - which doll looks like you - that was the heartbreaker for me.
As a teacher in a special education facility I can tell you there is more than racism. I have some people tell my that some Autistic children behave as though
"Satan" has taken them over. Autism is aquainted as demonic possession. I can't tell you how many people want to get ahead of a child with Duschennes M.S. rolling slowly in a wheel chair because they are in a hurry.
Here's the saddest. How would you like to be a black, down syndrome homosexual not bright enough to know that everything you are is a threat to people like those at Falls Church and Truro?
What a long we Christians have to go to truly understand the message they've been given.
